Private viewing

See the piece in your hands before you pay for it

A private viewing is a visit to you. You say what you want, a representative brings the pieces to the address and time you choose, and you inspect everything before any money moves. It happens across the United Arab Emirates and Europe.

There is no fee, no deposit and no obligation to buy. If the piece is not right when you see it, nothing is owed.

The process

What happens at a private viewing

A private viewing is a visit to you: you say what you want, a representative brings the pieces, and you inspect before deciding anything.

  1. You say what you want.

Model, size, leather, colour and hardware, or as much as you have settled on.

  2. Availability is confirmed before anyone travels.

You are sent photographs and video of the specific piece.

  3. The piece is brought to you.

A representative travels to the address and time you choose.GATE 5, the confirmed viewing city list

  4. You inspect it, without pressure.

Open it, handle the leather, work the closure, read the stamp, and take the time you want. You may bring your own authenticator.

  5. You decide, or you do not.

Nothing is paid until you have said yes to a specific piece.

Coverage

Which cities we bring pieces to

Pieces are brought to the buyer, because BRAND Bag Center travels rather than keeping a shop you have to visit. Viewings happen across the United Arab Emirates and Europe.GATE 5, the confirmed viewing city list A city outside that list is arranged case by case, so ask.

No obligation

What a viewing costs, and what it commits you to

A viewing is free and commits you to nothing. There is no fee for the visit, no deposit to hold a piece, and no charge if you decide against it.

The price of the piece itself is separate and is quoted per piece, because a pre-owned bag is priced by that one bag rather than by its model. You are quoted before a viewing is arranged, not at your door.

If it is not right when you see it, nothing is owed and we leave.

That is the whole arrangement. You are not asked to explain the decision, and asking for a viewing is not a soft commitment to buy.

On the day

What to do at the viewing

Take as long as you want with the piece. A viewing is not a sales call with a bag in it, and nobody is waiting on you to decide.

Bring your own authenticatorYou may bring anyone you like, including an independent authenticator. Nobody will object, and a buyer who wants a second opinion is not a difficult buyer.

Handle it properlyOpen and close it, work the closure, feel the weight full and empty, look at the corners and the base, and put your own things in it. A bag reveals itself in use rather than on a table.

Read the stamp yourselfAsk where the blind stamp is and look at it. How each piece is checked sets out what is examined and what causes a piece to fail, so you can run the same reading.

Ask what is missingAsk what the piece came with and what it did not: box, dust bag, lock, keys, clochette, rain cover, receipt. What is absent is told to you plainly.

Take the time, or take noneYou can decide on the spot or say you want to think. Neither answer changes how the visit ends.

Questions

Questions about private viewings

What is a private viewing?

A visit to you with the piece you asked about. You choose the address and the time, a representative travels there, and you inspect the bag in person before any payment. It replaces buying from a photograph, which is the part of secondary-market buying people are right to dislike.

Does a viewing cost anything, or commit me to buying?

Neither. There is no fee for the visit, no deposit to hold a piece, and no obligation to buy when the representative arrives. If the bag is not right when you see it, nothing is owed and we leave. You are not asked to explain the decision.

Can I bring my own authenticator?

Yes. You may bring your own authenticator, or anyone else you want with you. Nobody will object and it does not change the arrangement. A buyer who wants an independent reading of the piece before paying for it is asking a reasonable thing.

Where do you travel for viewings?

Viewings happen across the United Arab Emirates and Europe. Pieces are brought to the buyer rather than kept in a shop you have to visit. A city outside the usual list is arranged case by case, so the useful thing is to ask about yours rather than assume.

What if I decide against it when I see it?

Then nothing happens. No money has moved at that point, there is no deposit to lose and no fee for the visit. Say so and the representative leaves. Deciding against a piece in person is the viewing working, not the viewing failing.

Can I see more than one piece at a viewing?

Yes, where more than one is held and matches what you asked for. Say what you are choosing between when you first make contact, and you are told which of them can be brought. Availability is confirmed before anyone travels, so nothing is promised at the door.
